Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Josef Dave Reyes Llorente (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the iOS application Spectrum Analyzer – Audio FFT (the “App”).
The App provides real-time spectrum analysis using the device microphone and on-device FFT processing (roughly 20 Hz–20 kHz). Features may include live spectrum visualization, spectrogram (short rolling buffer held in memory), peak frequency detection, tap-to-probe frequency readout, peak hold and freeze, approximate input-level metering (with optional A/C/Z weighting), multi-band energy meters, display controls (log/linear axis, dB floor/ceiling, attack/release smoothing), optional reference tones played through the device speaker, fullscreen spectrum view, peak-flash/haptic alerts, approximate THD estimation, and howl/feedback detection. Optional Pro features may be unlocked via a one-time Apple In-App Purchase (higher FFT resolution, additional band meters, and advanced analysis/display tools).
No user account or login is required. The App does not operate developer-owned backend servers, cloud sync, or a developer-owned database for user content.
Information We Collect
What we do not collect. We do not collect personal information through developer-operated servers for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking. The App does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash SDKs beyond what may be provided by Apple as part of iOS and the App Store. We do not sell personal data. We do not offer social features, user accounts, cloud sync, or developer-side storage of microphone audio.
What may be processed on your device or by Apple.
- Microphone audio is processed locally on your device for live spectrum, spectrogram, meters, and related on-device analysis displays.
- Short analysis buffers (for example spectrogram frames or howl-detection history) are kept in memory for display and are not designed as a saved audio library.
- Local settings or preferences, if any, remain on your device.
- Optional reference tones are generated and played on-device through the speaker; they are not recordings of your microphone input.
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and terms.
We do not receive microphone audio uploads to developer servers; the App has no developer-operated servers for that purpose.
Microphone / Audio Data
The App requires microphone permission for real-time analysis.
Audio is processed on-device for spectrum visualization, spectrogram display, peak frequency readout, band meters, approximate input-level metering, and related analysis tools (such as THD or howl detection when enabled). Results are generated and shown on the device.
As designed:
- Audio is not recorded and saved to disk by the App as an audio file library.
- Audio is not imported or exported as audio files by the App.
- Spectrogram and similar history views use short in-memory buffers that scroll away; they are not uploaded to the developer.
- Microphone audio is not shared with or uploaded to the developer.
- The App does not provide Bluetooth accessory analysis as a product feature.
- The App does not claim professional certified sound-level calibration or laboratory-grade THD/howl certification.
Microphone input is used for transient analysis only; it is not treated as a stored content library.
Speaker / Reference Tones
Optional Pro reference tones (for example A440, sine sweep, or noise) may be generated on-device and played through the device speaker for testing. Tone playback is App-generated audio output. It is not a capture or upload of microphone audio.
Purchases (Apple)
Optional Pro features may be unlocked through a one-time In-App Purchase via Apple StoreKit. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple. We do not operate a separate payment processor for the App.

How Information Is Used
On-device microphone processing is used solely to provide App functionality (live spectrum analysis, related on-device readouts/controls, and optional analysis tools). Local settings, if any, are used to remember preferences on the device. Speaker tones, when used, are for on-device testing only.
We do not use microphone audio for advertising, tracking across apps or websites, or building developer-side user profiles, because that audio is not sent to developer servers.
Data Sharing / Selling
We do not sell personal data.
We do not share microphone audio with third parties through developer-operated transmission, because the App does not upload that audio to developer servers.
Apple may process information related to App Store distribution and In-App Purchases under Apple’s policies. This App does not use third-party advertising identifiers for ads.
Data Retention
Because microphone audio is processed for real-time on-device analysis and is not uploaded to developer servers, we do not retain microphone audio on developer systems.
In-memory analysis buffers (such as spectrogram frames) exist only while needed for the live display and are not designed as a permanent recording archive. Local settings, if any, remain on your device until you delete the App or clear app data via iOS controls. Purchase records associated with your Apple ID are retained by Apple according to Apple’s practices; we do not operate a separate purchase database for the App.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children and does not require account creation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.

International Users
The App processes microphone audio on the device where the App is installed. We do not operate developer servers that receive that audio. Apple may process App Store and purchase-related data as described in Apple’s privacy materials.
This policy does not assert specific GDPR legal bases, data-protection officer appointments, or EU representative details.
Your Choices
- Microphone permission: Allow or deny access in iOS Settings. Without microphone access, analysis features that require the microphone will not function.
- Purchases / restore: Manage and restore eligible purchases through Apple’s In-App Purchase / App Store mechanisms.
- Deletion: Delete the App to remove it and any on-device local settings associated with it, subject to how iOS manages app data.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. When this page is updated, use the same URL in App Store Connect.
