Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Josef Dave Reyes Llorente (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the iOS application Angle Finder — Level & Protractor (the “App”).

The App provides on-device measuring tools using device motion sensors and an optional live camera overlay. Features may include a bubble level, digital angle readout, surface and wall/plumb modes, snap alerts (haptic and audio), session zero/calibration, a live camera protractor overlay, and optional Pro tools such as 3-axis display with compass heading, higher-precision readouts, custom/multi-target snap angles, freeze-frame two-line camera measurement, unit conversion (degrees, radians, percent grade), and faster sensor refresh. Optional Pro features may be unlocked via a one-time Apple In-App Purchase.

No user account or login is required. The App does not operate developer-owned backend servers, cloud sync, or a developer-owned database for user content. Measuring stays on-device; nothing is designed to be saved as a measurement library or uploaded to the developer.

Information We Collect

What we do not collect. We do not collect personal information through developer-operated servers for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking. The App does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash SDKs beyond what may be provided by Apple as part of iOS and the App Store. We do not sell personal data. We do not offer social features, user accounts, cloud sync, or developer-side storage of camera frames or sensor measurements.

What may be processed on your device or by Apple.

• Device motion sensor data (for example pitch, roll, and heading when available) is processed locally to drive level and angle readouts.
• Camera frames may be shown live for the protractor overlay; optional freeze-frame measurement pauses the view in memory for on-screen line measurement and is not designed to write photos to your library or to developer servers.
• Session preferences (for example haptics or snap targets) are held in memory for the current session and are not designed to persist across app launches.
• In-app purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and terms.

We do not receive camera or sensor uploads to developer servers; the App has no developer-operated servers for that purpose.

Camera Data

Camera permission is requested for the live protractor overlay and related Pro freeze-frame measurement. As designed:

• The camera feed is used for real-time on-screen overlay and measurement only
• The App does not capture or save photos or videos to the Photos library as a product feature
• Camera frames are not uploaded to the developer
• Freeze-frame measurement pauses the live view in memory; it is not a disk-stored capture archive

Motion / Sensor Data

The App uses on-device motion sensors to compute tilt, level, and related angle readouts. Sensor data is processed locally for live display and snap feedback. It is not uploaded to developer servers and is not treated as a stored measurement history.

Purchases (Apple)

Optional Pro features may be unlocked through a one-time In-App Purchase via Apple StoreKit. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple. We do not operate a separate payment processor for the App.

How Information Is Used

On-device camera and motion processing is used solely to provide App functionality (level, angle, protractor, and related controls). Session settings are used only while the App is open.

We do not use camera frames or sensor data for advertising, tracking across apps or websites, or building developer-side user profiles, because that data is not sent to developer servers.

Data Sharing / Selling

We do not sell personal data.

We do not share camera frames or motion measurements with third parties through developer-operated transmission, because the App does not upload that data to developer servers.

Apple may process information related to App Store distribution and In-App Purchases under Apple’s policies. This App does not use third-party advertising identifiers for ads.

Data Retention

Because camera and sensor data are processed for real-time on-device measuring and are not uploaded to developer servers, we do not retain that data on developer systems.

Session preferences reset when the App is closed, as designed. Purchase records associated with your Apple ID are retained by Apple according to Apple’s practices; we do not operate a separate purchase database for the App.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children and does not require account creation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.

International Users

The App processes camera and sensor data on the device where the App is installed. We do not operate developer servers that receive that data. Apple may process App Store and purchase-related data as described in Apple’s privacy materials.

This policy does not assert specific GDPR legal bases, data-protection officer appointments, or EU representative details.

Your Choices

• Camera permission: Allow or deny access in iOS Settings. Without camera access, protractor features that require the camera will not function; motion-based level features may still work.
• Purchases / restore: Manage and restore eligible purchases through Apple’s In-App Purchase / App Store mechanisms.
• Deletion: Delete the App to remove it from your device, subject to how iOS manages app data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. When this page is updated, use the same URL in App Store Connect.
