Content Rights
Purpose
This Content Rights notice explains ownership and permitted use of the software, branding, App Store materials, and related content for Squeeze – Video and Image Compressor (the “App,” also referred to as “Squeeze”), and clarifies how your photos, videos, and compressed outputs are treated because compression runs on-device and media is not uploaded to developer servers.
Ownership of the App
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Josef Dave Reyes Llorente owns all rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including without limitation:
- Source code, object code, and App binaries distributed through the Apple App Store
- User interface design, layout, icons, graphics, and visual design language
- Compression workflows, presets, on-screen readouts, and related product copy
- App Store listing text, screenshots, preview assets, and marketing materials created by the developer
- Documentation and legal pages published for the App on this site
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Name, Marks, and Branding
“Squeeze,” associated logos, icons, and distinctive visual elements used in the App and its App Store listing are the property of Josef Dave Reyes Llorente, except for third-party marks (including Apple trademarks) which remain the property of their respective owners.
You may not use the App’s name, icon, screenshots, or branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or official affiliation without prior written permission, except for fair nominative reference (for example, accurate App Store reviews).
License to Use the App
Subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (or any custom EULA if later provided) and the App’s Terms of Use, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely as permitted by the App Store and applicable Apple terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App except where applicable law expressly allows
- Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the App or its components outside authorized App Store channels
- Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the App’s assets, UI, or branding to build a competing product listing that misrepresents origin
Your Photos, Videos, and Outputs
The App processes media you select to produce compressed files on your device. As designed:
- You retain ownership of your original photos, videos, and other media you import
- The App does not upload your media to developer servers or claim ownership of your originals
- Compressed outputs belong to you, subject to any rights in the underlying source media and applicable law
- The App does not operate a developer-hosted content library for your media
- Share-sheet export and Shortcuts automation are initiated by you and delivered only to destinations you choose
Because media is processed locally rather than submitted to the developer as hosted content, there is no developer-side user-generated content license for your photos or videos. Device-local processing remains under your control by deleting outputs, clearing history, or removing the App. See the Privacy Policy for details on processing and optional iCloud profile sync.
In-App Purchases and Feature Unlocks
Optional Pro features unlocked through Apple In-App Purchase do not transfer ownership of the App’s code, design, or trademarks. Purchase grants access to the purchased functionality under Apple’s purchase terms and the App’s terms, not a transfer of intellectual property.
Third-Party Intellectual Property
Apple, the Apple logo, App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, CloudKit, Photos, Files, Shortcuts, and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc. iOS is a trademark of Cisco used under license by Apple. Other third-party names may be trademarks of their respective owners. Reference to third-party platforms does not imply endorsement beyond distribution of the App through those platforms or use of Apple system frameworks.
Feedback
If you send suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the App to josefdave.llorente@gmail.com, you grant Josef Dave Reyes Llorente a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use and incorporate that feedback into the App and related materials without obligation to you, to the extent permitted by law.
