Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Josef Dave Reyes Llorente (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the iOS application Thrum – Tactile Fidget (the “App,” also referred to as “Thrum”).
Thrum is an on-device tactile fidget. It responds to taps, holds, and drags with haptics and optional visual feedback. You can adjust intensity, sharpness, dynamic response, visual feedback, and trail duration. The App also provides instructions for optional system features such as Shortcuts, Back Tap, and Control Center.
No user account or login is required. The App does not operate developer-owned backend servers, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud sync. Thrum works offline.
Information We Collect
What we do not collect. We do not collect personal information through developer-operated servers for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking. The App does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash SDKs beyond what may be provided by Apple as part of iOS and the App Store. We do not sell personal data. We do not receive your touches, gestures, settings, or usage history on developer servers.
What is processed or stored on your device.
- Touches and gestures are processed transiently on-device to create haptic and visual feedback; they are not recorded or saved as a touch history.
- Your preferences—including intensity, sharpness, dynamic response, visual feedback, and trail duration—are saved locally using iOS app storage.
- A local first-use value records whether the introductory message has already been dismissed.
- While the App is active, system volume changes may be observed to adjust Thrum’s intensity in five-percent steps. Thrum does not record audio, access microphone content, or save a history of volume changes.
- App Store distribution information is processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and terms.
Haptics, Touches, and Volume Controls
Thrum uses Apple’s Core Haptics framework to generate feedback on supported devices. Touch position, movement, speed, direction, and duration may be evaluated in memory to shape the current haptic response and optional visual trail. That interaction data is not designed to persist after the interaction and is not sent to the developer.
When Thrum is in the foreground, changes to the system output volume may also change the saved intensity preference. Audio volume still changes normally. This feature reads only the system-provided output-volume value; it does not listen to or analyze audio.
Shortcuts, Back Tap, and Control Center
Thrum provides an App Intent that can open the App. If you choose to create a Shortcut, assign it to Back Tap, or add it to Control Center, those features are configured and operated by iOS. Thrum does not receive a history of other shortcuts or system gestures.
External Links
The App includes an optional link to an Apple support page about Control Center and Shortcuts. Opening that link leaves Thrum and connects to Apple under Apple’s policies. The App does not otherwise require a network connection for its core functionality.

Purchases
The App does not currently offer In-App Purchases. We do not operate a payment processor or purchase database for Thrum.
How Information Is Used
On-device touch processing is used solely to provide haptic and visual feedback. Local settings are used to remember your chosen experience between launches.
We do not use your interactions or settings for advertising, tracking across apps or websites, or building developer-side user profiles, because that information is not sent to developer servers.
Data Sharing / Selling
We do not sell personal data.
We do not share your touch interactions or settings with third parties through developer-operated transmission. Apple may process information related to App Store distribution and optional system features under Apple’s policies.
Data Retention
Because Thrum does not upload touch interactions or settings to developer servers, we do not retain that information on developer systems. Touch and gesture values used for a response are transient and are not saved as a history.
Preferences and first-use state remain on your device until they are replaced, reset by iOS, or removed when you delete the App, subject to how iOS manages app data.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not require account creation and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.
If you have concerns, contact us at josefdave.llorente@gmail.com. Device-local data is generally addressed by deleting the App from the device.
International Users
The App processes interactions on the device where it is installed. We do not operate developer servers that receive your touch interactions or settings. Apple may process App Store and system-feature information as described in Apple’s privacy materials.
This policy does not assert specific GDPR legal bases, data-protection officer appointments, or EU representative details.
Your Choices
- Haptics: Stop touching the surface or leave the App to stop the current haptic response.
- Visual feedback: Turn ripples and trails on or off in Settings.
- Preferences: Change intensity, sharpness, response mode, and trail duration in Settings.
- Quick access: You choose whether to configure Shortcuts, Back Tap, or Control Center through iOS.
- Deletion: Delete the App to remove its local data from your device, subject to how iOS manages app data.
